December 29, 2013

I am working on my schedule of classes for the new year.  I would like to have some feed back.  Would you like to go back to having a card class and a layout class each week?  The class would be Tuesday unless there was enough interest in a Thursday class.  I would have a card class first.  Then do the layout class just as we used to do.  Just let me know what your interest is.  Call, text, or e-mail me.  I still plan to have two Christmas cards each month.  Everyone liked having a stash of Christmas cards at the end of the year.

Have a great New Year.

December 23, 2013 - clown n around

I ran to town early today to get some groceries and few things for baking.  Yes, I am a little behind on my schedule for the Holidays.  Town was crazzzzzyyyy!!!  It took two lights to get into the Publix shopping area.  Thought I was going to have to park at the Pet store.  But lucked up with someone leaving.  Whew!!!  I know why I don't cook.  It is easier just to drive thru.  Not only do you have to shop, but then you have to put it up when you get home.

You know how I love Chic Fil A.  On my way out of town I stop to bring home lunch. As I pull up to the window I hand the cashier my money and she tells me the car in front of me had paid for me.  I smiled and she told me there had been several random acts of kindness this week.  This was a first for me.  I was blessed twice.  Once having someone buy my lunch.  Then hearing how kind people are being to one another.

I guess I forgot to post the second layout we did last week.  So here it is:

Better get back to finishing some Christmas things.   Not gonna start baking.  But I am sure there are many other things left to do.  I just have to remember what they are.  :)

Oh Christmas Tree - December 15, 2013

My nephew reminded me today, that Christmas is a little over a week away.  Whew!!!  2013 is moving closer to 2014.  Our first layout for this week has my Christmas trees from my first home, the big house, the shop and this year's tree.

The layout class is Thursday at 10:00 am.

Tuesday is our card class.  Then Friday is the assisted living group.  No class Christmas week.

Off to finish the second layout.

Gobble - December 9, 2013

We had so much food for Thanksgiving.  It was all so wonderful.  The leftovers are the best.  Now we just have pictures to remember the fun time we had with family and all that food.  So here is our second layout for this week.

So have a great week.  I am off to finish my 4th Blitz card for this weekend.

Happy Day - December 8, 2013

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and have recuperated from all that eating.  It won't be long and we will be enjoying all those baked goods at Christmas.  Oh my!!!!

I have the first layout ready for Thursday's class.  Everyone had so much fun with those marshmallows.  I always have more that I need for Granny's sweet potato puff.  Makes me laugh looking at these pictures and remembering their antics.

Better get back to work and finish the Thanksgiving layout.

Have a great evening.

Happy Thanksgiving - November 28, 2013

Oh my gosh it is Thanksgiving already. Today we enjoy family and food.  We laugh, laugh, laugh.  Eat, eat, eat. Groan, groan, groan.  Then we complain that we ate too much.  But we love every minute of it.

I remember when I was young we would go to my Mom's family at Thanksgiving.  There was so much food.  Talking about a groaning board.  All kinds of veggies.  One year my grandmother made fresh turkey. She cut it in chunks. Deep fried then served with gravy.  Yummy!!!

When we had Thanksgiving at home my Father's Mom would make chicken and dumplins'.  She didn't use a rolling pin it had to be a smooth tall tea glass.  Of course she didn't get flour all over the place like I do when that bag comes out of the cabinet.  There was no recipe either.  It was all by feel.  Oh yes, there had to be a special spoon for easy stirring.

She made a Sweet Potato Puff.  Sweet potato and marshmallow.   There was no recipe but she wrote me a sweet note with how she made it.
I remember making it one year.  I thought I would do a special dish for the kiddos.  They mainly like those melted marshmallows.  So I took a pizza pan.  Skimmed just a little sweet potato down and then loaded it with marshmallows.  Guess what...yep it ran all over the oven and started a fire.

Then we started coming to my house.  I had a great boss that let me have Wednesday off to start the preparations.  My favorite time during the day was when I lined the kids up and squirted their tongues
with whipped cream.  They sure were trusting.  I'm sure if it had been my baby brother they would have been more cautious. He is such a prankster.

My Mom made the best dressing.  We didn't get her recipe from her.  So I started searching recipe books.  I would check with my Dad to see if a recipe came close.  Finally we came across a recipe.  The first time I made it we had a lot of dressing.  Dad would taste the raw dressing to see if it had enough pepper and onion.  His other job was carving the turkey.

He also would read the newspaper as we cooked.  Here is one of my favorite pictures with my prankster brother.  Doesn't he look so angelic.  You would not suspect him of mischief.

Now the next generation starts with their traditions.

                Have a Blessed Thanksgiving.

Family Fun Day - November 20, 2013

Finally, finished the second layout for class tomorrow.  Whew!!! this has been a busy week.  One more project left to finish for the assisted living class on Friday.  Anyway, back to our layout.  It is about family and fun times.

Well, I better finish getting all those pieces cut and get some sleep.

Boo - November 10, 2013

Yep, I have the second layout ready.  I can remember Carnival days when I was growing up.  We did it a the school.  There were cake walks, fishing for little surprises, and the costume parade.  The kids these days would love all the fun activities that were part of those carnivals. The costumes were usually home made and full of imagination.  Our second layout is about kids and a school carnival.

Now that next week's layouts are ready I will begin making cards for next Saturday's Blitz.  Oh and also two more layouts for the following week.  We are combining cards and layouts for the week before Thanksgiving.  That way we are all free the week of Thanksgiving to get all that cooking done.  Oh my!!!  That week before Thanksgiving we will do cards on Tuesday and Layouts on Thursday.  I have a couple of Super Heroes to get on a scrapbook page. There might even be a page with a clown and a baseball player.

November 9, 2013 - Autumn Memories

Lovin' this Fall weather.  Although it was a bit chilly this morning for the yard sale.  It was that darn wind.  There are so many activities we enjoy during the Fall.  Many families get together and carve pumpkins.  That is something to remember as a family....

So we have our first layout for next week.

Gonna call it a night.  Be back at it tomorrow with our second layout.

November 1, 2013

Good grief!!!  It is November 1st already.  Thanksgiving and then Christmas!  Only seven more Fridays until Christmas.  No classes the week of Thanksgiving.  I am going to have the December Blitz the second weekend instead of the third weekend.

Only one more week until the yard sale.  Saturday November 9th from 8:00 - 12:00.  Bring a table to sale some of your stash so you can buy more.  You might even find some stuff at the yard sale.

As many of you know I have broken the wire on three Fiskars cutters.  I finally e-mailed Fiskars.  They sent me a replacement arm.  So if you have issues contact Fiskars.  They will stand behind their product.  So now I am back in business with two cutters.

Next week is card week.

Have a great weekend.

S'more Great Moments - October 22, 2013

When I do a layout for our class I have to make it universal.  That way it will cover so many themes for class members.  Sometime I want to step out and do my own thing.  This week I did the layout "Happiness is...".  I made it so it could be for everyone's pictures.  But I wanted to make it more specific for what the family was doing.  So here is my layout redo.......

Hope you enjoy the redo as much as I did creating it.

Happiness is... - October 21, 2013

Can you believe I have the second layout ready.  This little group were celebrating everybody winning their games.  Their Daddy coaches a high school team and they all play soccer. So to celebrate they circle around the fire and make Reese's S'mores.  Sounds yummy!!!  I love peanut butter and of course I love Reese's cups.

Remember the yard sale is coming soon.  November 9th.  Plan to join us by setting up a table or shopping.

Have a great week.

Super Star - October 20, 2013

This is our week for layouts.  My first layout is about a cute little guy being a super start!!!

Is he not stinkin cute.

Monday is our Blitz Day.  Wednesday at 12:00 is our layout class.  The following week is card class.  This is one of those months where we have back to back card classes. Because there is a card class on November 5th.

Friday, October 18, 2013

My family lost a special man this week.  My Uncle passed early this week in Alabama.  My sister and I drove up together.  The operative word is she drove.  But it was a time of togetherness.  If you have been around me much you know I don't talk very much.  But just being with each other was special.  So thankful we were able to see our Uncle this Summer at our reunion.  That is why those family gatherings are so important.  You just never know what each day holds.  So you grab each day with open arms and enjoy.

Saturday and Monday are the Blitz days this month.  10:00 am both days.  Just let me know which day you plan to attend.

Adventure - October 5, 2013

Can you imagine.  The second layout is ready.  My goodness that has to be a record.  I guess Things must have been running wild today.   I am sure we have all kinds of adventures to share.  It could be a trip, something with our pets, and of course those kids.

Guess I will call it a day.

Smiles 'til I see you.

Play Ball - October 5, 2013

Oh my gosh!!!  I can't imagine it being October already.  Some places are having an amazing snow storm.  Yet we have been having some hot weather and watching a storm named Karen.  Looks like we may have a very cold Winter.

I have the first layout ready for next week. It amazes me seeing these little guys on the baseball field.  I would love to be able to hear this conversation.  You never know what these little guys will say to you.  I can remember having lunch with this one not too long ago.  It was just the two of us.  He was coloring and we were talking about different things.  Then comes the question.  "Aunt Gail what do you want to be when you grow up?"  I take a pause thinking as fast as I can.  Then off he goes telling me he is going to be a policeman.  Sometimes it pays to just listen :).  They make me smile whenever we are together.

Have a great day and I am off to the next layout.

Smiles 'til I see you.

October 3, 2013

Walked out to feed Pokey this morning. What a beautiful morning it was.  All the reds and pinks.  Then looking to the West and seeing the glorious colors reflected on the trees.  The leaves are starting to change, so the color is awesome.

No one for class this morning so I am going to work on some future classes.  Like maybe the layouts for next week or the cards for Blitz.  Gotta get those creative juices flowing.

Remember the yard sale is coming up.  Let me know if you want to set up a table.  I need to get an idea of how many people plan to participate so I can start running an ad in in the Advertiser.

Have a great day.

Smiles 'til I see you.

Have a great weekend.

Oh Boy! September 23, 2013

Things have been happening around my house this week.  Busy getting The Blitz cards ready.  Family came for a visit.  Had a break-in at the shop.  Yep.  It finally happened.  I went to the shop Friday morning to get supplies for the assisted living class.  I unlock the door, step into the shop and I see lights on.  Ok. Maybe the Landlord came by.  But wait he doesn't usually leave lights on or doors open.  He definitely doesn't leave things on the floor.  I walk back to his office.  No he has not been here.  I walk back to the classroom area.  The door is open to the closet and low and behold the door is laying on the floor.  I get the phone book out and call the Police Department.  They are on their way.  I call the assisted living home and they rescheduled us for this week.  the police arrive and ask a few questions and then begins to dust for finger prints.  He hits some of the drawers that were opened.  Bingo!  A good print on the knocked out window.  Hope it will help identify our intruder.

I have our first layout ready for this week. Kids can sure get into some interesting things while playing in the kitchen.  Too darn cute!!!!

Layout class this week is on Thursday at 10.

Next week is card class. Saturday October the 5th is World Card Making Day.  Let me know if you plan to join us.  I have several projects planned for us to play with during the day.  If you are interested contact me and I will give you all the information.

Party Time - September 7, 2013

There is nothing like having a party of any kind.  People laughing and enjoying one another. Then there are kids parties.  These guys really have fun.  They are in constant movement. Whew!!!  Wish I could have half that energy.

There was such a wild storm at my house last night.  Geez!!!  All the cracking and booming.  I really did not expect that.  It really slipped up on me.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Smile's 'til I see you.

Look Hoo is Owl grown up - September 6, 2013

I enjoyed a little time with friends yesterday.  We were talking about how time flies.  The first layout for next week is all about the passage of time. My Nieces and Nephews when they were small and then seeing them together at our reunion this Summer. WOW!!!  I know I'm not getting older!!!  Right who am I kidding.

Have a great weekend and I will be back tomorrow with the second layout.

Smiles 'til I see you.

Monday, September 2, 2013

How is your weekend going?  Have you been creative this weekend or taking a break and just playing around.  Sometime I find myself organizing and finding all those things I forgot that I have.  well almost.  No organizing for me this weekend. I have been busy creating cards for class this week.  One of the cards is a Christmas card.  Maybe by the first of December you will have most of your cards made for this year.

October 5th is World Cardmaking Day.  That will be the first Saturday of the month.  Plan to join me for some fun projects.  Space will be limited so you need to reserve your spot early.  More information to follow.

August 27, 2013

Just thought I would send a little post regarding the new Cricut cartridges released after August 1st.  They now come in a small box about 4 inches square. Here is a picture of one of the new books. they are very small but easier to follow.

You will need to order a universal keypad.  This is how the pad looks.
This too will be easier.  We have been numbering the pages of our books to help us find them on the the keypad.  So now the keypad is numbered.  It will be interesting to see how those little books fit into those storage boxes.  Gosh!!!  I bet there will be a new box design coming our way soon.

School Zone - August 24, 2013

This is our second layout for next week.  All those kiddos are back in school.  So here is a layout for the first day of school.

I had the pleasure of picking up the kiddos a couple of days last week.  Oh my goodness!!!  Homework.  I feel for those parents that have to help them.  My brain went into the DUH mode.  I don't know which is worse... playing kick ball or helping with the homework.  Yep.  I played kick ball a couple of weeks ago.  Too dang hot!!!  That was my excuse.

Layout class is Tuesday and Thursday at 10 AM.  Please let me know if you plan to come.

Seashore - August 23, 2013

School has started.  Days at the beach are gonna be weekends only. Chances are those beach vacations have already come and gone this Summer.   Those sunny days with the kids are so much fun.  You never know what they are gonna do next.

So of course our first layout is showing what fun those kiddos can have.  That little brother trying so hard to copy whatever his big brother does.

Well I better get back to school.  Yes, that is the theme for our second layout.

Heartbreaker - August 11, 2013

Two layouts done for this week.  Here is our second layout.  Two beauties for sure.

Now the two layouts are done and I can focus on the Card Blitz. With this hot weather I'm thinking maybe I should do some Fall cards.  You know wishful thinking for cooler weather.

Remember the layout class is Thursday and Card Blitz Friday afternoon at 1:00 and Saturday morning at 10:00.  Be sure to let me know if you plan to attend either class.

Smiles 'til I see you.

Fun & Games - August 11, 2013

This is such a busy week.  Layout class on Thursday, August 15th.  Stillwaters assisted living Friday morning.  The Card Blitz Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.  Whew!!!!

Family July 21, 2013

Our first layout for this week is titled 'Family'.  As you know I had my first family reunion last weekend.  Oh my gosh, it was so much fun.  Hearing the stories and remembering.  It helps to have someone else help you remember.  This layout shows all the families that were able to come.

The next layout will still be about the reunion but the focus will be the food and all the cooks.

Happy 4th of July !!!

There will be no classes today at the shop.  I will make up today's class tomorrow morning.  No make-up on Saturday. I will do make up classes tomorrow if you let me know what you need to make up.  No classes next week .  I will be deep in reunion preparation. The following week will be card classes and Blitz weekend.

June 22, 2013 - Dance

Here we go with our second layout for next week.  This girl thinks clogging is F U N!!! This was her Recital weekend.  She was such a cutie on stage.  That clogging looks like hard work.  But those girls and ladies that do it sure are in shape.
If you plan to come to class next week let me know.  Please bring the Martha Stewart Doily punch if you have it.  You will use that  punch on the Ancestry page.  It will just help move things along if there were more than one punch for us to use.

Have a great weekend.

Smiles 'til I see you.

June 22, 2013 - Ancestry

Oh my gosh!!!  Can not believe we are in the later part of June.  It is officially Summertime as of a few days ago.  If you go outside you can really tell it is Summertime.  Oh well that is why we have AC.

I have the first layout ready for next week.  I have been digging in those old photo boxes.  This is of my Mom & Dad and their parents.

It is fun to look back and see your grandparents when they were young.  I have a Niece visiting and she was watching me put the layout together.  As I was inking and distressing, she asked "What are you doing?".  I told her I was making it vintage.  "What is that?"  I said making it look old.  I said I was Vintage.  I showed her a picture of a very young me.  I could see the look on her face "Are you sure that is you?".   It is amazing how those little faces can be so expressive.

Keep me posted if you plan to attend the layout class next week.

June 14, 2013

Headed to the shop for the First Blitz of the weekend.  Hopefully I have everything packed in the car.  The first thing packed was my tool kit!!!

I was puttering in the shop yesterday and heard a knock on the door(when I am there I keep the door locked).  It was Donna Sue ready for lunch.  Thursday seems to be our girls out to lunch day.  Off we went to yep... Longhorn.  That seems the place of choice.  They have great soup and salads.  But I had grilled shrimp.  Trying to be good.  But when I headed home that afternoon I slipped into Mickey D's for that ice cream cone.   That darn car just has a mind of it's own.

My family is having a family reunion this Summer.  It is now less than a month away.  I am so excited.  Some of the cousins have not seen one another in a long time.  It will be wonderful to share hugs and stories.  I told them those stories have to be from memory not their imagination.

Better get going to the shop.

June 13, 2013

Wow!  I remembered my tool bag today. But I almost got creamed by one of those crazy driver exiting  Chick Fil A.  Had to swerve and my class kits went sliding.  Thank goodness everything stayed in the trays.
This was the Chick Fil A parking lot yesterday.

Card Blitz tomorrow and Saturday.  A few more seats are available both days. Just let me know you are coming.

Next week is card class.  Two cards and one of those is a Christmas card.

I am focused on doing a few layouts for our Reunion .  This is a complement page for the Mother page we did last month.

Have a great weekend.

This week is card class week.  Let me know if you plan to be there.  Also we have our monthly gathering.  We have moved it to the shop again.  Please let me know if you plan to come on Saturday.  I may take another road trip if no one plans to be there.

Getting excited about our Family reunion this Summer.  It is just a little over a month away.  It will be great seeing everyone together again.  It has been a long time since some of us have seen one another.

Then & Now May 26, 2013

Finished the second layout for this week.  Oh my goodness it takes so long to come up with those darn pictures.  Then of course I change my mind on what papers to use.  It started one way and then I  did a complete turn around.  I guess I had our upcoming family reunion in my mind.

Next Saturday is the first Saturday of the month.  If you want to do any makeup classes this is the day to do it.  Just let me know which project so I can have it prepared.

You Warm My Heart April 22, 2013

I know I have been absent for a few days. Been busy with special projects and the Card Blitz.

I made my last pass to check the pups the middle of last week. No sign of them. When I pass that way I still turn and look. Hopefully they are safe somewhere.

This is the second layout for this week.

Happy Anniversary April 21, 2012

April 14, 2013

I am still checking on the pups even though I have not seen them for several days. The last few days I have left fresh water and refilled the food dish. Since I have not seen them I don't know if I am feeding them, the neighborhood dogs, or wild animals. But iI have to keep checking to make sure they are not there.

Next week we have card class for the week and Card Blitz Friday and Saturday.
Make sure you let me know if you plan to attend any class.

I had a busy Thursday. Fed the pus. Worked at the shop. Went to the kids awards at school. They love that simple recognition. Then as they get older not so much. Went to lunch. Back to the shop for more work. Dodged the rain and shipped the UPS package. Shop time. Then off to watch softball. The girls did a double header. Congrats!!! They won first place in their league. Now Miss Emily will be playing on a traveling league. She is so cute when she puts on all that catchers gear. Then I stopped an checked the pups. Whew!!! I am not used to getting home at 10:00 pm anymore. It was a wild and wonderful day.

April 12, 2013

Just to update on the pups. I stopped to check them Wednesday morning and it was just the Border Collie and the Terrier. I did not see them at first. I usually drive slowly down the little lane looking on either side of the road. Then I stop on my way back out to check the food and water. As I was pouring fresh water the Terrier started barking. I looked up and he is standing on the road by the stop sign. I ease up there with my flashers on and get out of the car. I spotted the Border Collie just lying on a bed of wild flowers just looking up at me not moving. I was concerned that he had gotten dehydrated. I reach in the car for some food. Then I ease forward talking gently. I spooked him. He jumped up ran toward the fence then out to the road. Oh my goodness. hat is the last thing I want. I decided if I left he would come back away from the road. When I returned that afternoon he wasn't anywhere to be seen. As I stopped to check the water and food here comes the Terrier and a big Collie. That collie was so friendly. I had to shut the car door because I thought he was gonna jump in. Now why couldn't the three pups been like that. I petted the Collie and put fresh water in the bowl. The Collie drank but the Terrier stayed behind the barbed wire fence. I started walking around to see if the Border Collie could be found. I looked back where the Collie and Terrier were. The Collie was laying down and the Terrier was standing up close to him. He had found a new companion. As I was leaving they were walking down the fence line together headed to the horse farm. I called animal control yesterday. They said they had been out there but had not seen the dogs. I went by last night about 9:30 to check their supplies. I knew I would not see them in the dark. Both the water and food bowls were full. This morning no pups. The bowls were full. I put fresh water and eased on down the road looking as I went. Hopefully, the three of them have found a safer location or better yet a new home.

Saturday is play day here at the shop. Starts at 10:00.

April 9, 2013

I checked on the pups last night and gave them water and food.  Most of the stainless steel bowls with food had been removed.  I know I spelled stereo in the morning post.  Those darn smart phones don't have big keys or screen.  All three were there.  This morning when I went by they were tucked in somewhere.  But I replenished the water and left food.  After ten I started making my calls.  Wellborn rescue does not take animals from the public.  They rescue dogs from animal control.  They suggested that I call animal control.  I finally reached them.  They said they couldn't get out there today.  I asked if I could check back to make sure they had picked them up.  She said I could.  I told her I would continue putting out food and water.  I came by tonight and left food and water.  I only saw two.  I could not spot the shaggy one.  I hope it was hiding or someone was able to catch it and take it home.  I drove up and around and did not see it.  Hopefully, they will get rescued before the rains come this week.  I wish I were a dog whisperer and could coax them into the car.

This Saturday is the play day/gathering.  It will be at the shop this month and next.  It starts at 10 AM.

April 7, 2013

I checked on the pups this afternoon. They are still there. Some of the food dishes were missing so I left them food and refilled the water bowls. The Border Collie is limping. I think it has paced the road so much it's pads are blistered.

Here they are....

April 7, 2013

I planned ahead today. I put my car keys next to my phone last night. The fist thing I packed were my Cricut mats. The sewing machine manual is in the case with the machine. Once I get started it will be interesting to see if I did leave anything.

Stopped by to check on the pups. They must have still been bedded down somewhere because I did not see them. But I did see 5 big stainless steel dog bowls full of water and food. There were other little signs people were leaving them food. They are so adorable. We tried again yesterday to get close but they are still pretty skiddish. We need a dog whisperer.

Debbie can not open the church for the next couple of months. I will open the shop for the monthly gathering. Again it starts at 10:00. We can play as long as we can last. That is this Saturday. Hope to see you there.

April 6, 2013 2nd update

False alarm.  The poor little guys were still there tonight.  But someone else is watering and feeding them.  They have their bowls back off the road so it makes me feel a little better.  Hopefully they will stay down that lane and away from the main highway.  More to come tomorrow.

April 6, 2013 update

Just went to feed and water three little dogs.  Nowhere to be seen.  I did leave water and plan to check before dark to make sure they are not there.  Hopefully they were just lost and their owners came and found them.  Will keep you updated on any new developments.

From yesterday's post you know I left my phone and was halfway to town when it dawned on me.   I finally do the turn around and get to town.  My first stop was to go to Wally World and get a certain size sewing needle.  I had done some research and knew that I had to use a certain size needle to sew on paper.  I am standing in front of the needle selection.  Ok, what size needle???  I go to get that darn smart phone that has my notes and yep... I left it in the car.  Another turn around to retrieve the phone.  Of course when you go there you always end up with other things.  So my one tiny item ended up with me doing a balancing act to get to the register.  Then my next stop is to get my coffee and tea at Micky D's.  Spring Break is supposed to be over but...it took me some time to get through the drive-in.  Finally, I am at the shop but of course I need to gather my self together after all that and unloading all my tools.  You know when you go on vacation how you over pack thinking you need more than you do.  That is how I pack when I go to the shop.  That van is loaded.  It takes me about a half hour to load and unload.  I have my Cricut, Cuttlebug, Paper, Punches, and tool bag.  You know you have to have every embossing folder you have because you never know which one you will use.  Same thing with those Cricut Cartridges.  I have gotten better about dies and border punches, but not much.  I get cranking and there I have my first Blitz card done.  I use that darn smart phone and do a My Cut Search for that special cut on the Cricut.  I take my list over to the cartridge boxes.  What...not there.  I had left the case with that cartridge.  Not only that but I had left my mats.  Good grief!!!!  So I scrub that project and closed up the Cricut and those cartridge boxes.  Next...  I set up the machine to put that special needle in.  Of course that screw holding the needle won't budge.  I dig out the handy tool kit.  The screw driver won't budge it.  I grab a penny.  Yahoo!!!  It finally moves.  I practice and play.  No matter what I tried the tension is too tight.  Naturally I didn't have the machines manual.  It was at home.  Ok, time to pack that up.  Time to go home.

As I headed into town I notice three little dogs on the side of the road.  I figure they belong to the people building a new house and that they just got adventurous and came down to the road.  Guess what the three little guys were there when I came home.  Everyone is gone at the new home site and the gate is closed.  My car is soo packed there is no way I can get them in.  So I go home unpack.  I then tell my family about them.  The family couldn't tell what I was saying because I was in tears.  I called the Wellborn Rescue league.  No one there until Tuesday.  I called Sandy to make sure there was no one there until Tuesday.  She said they feed the animals but did not answer the phones.  My Brother, and Sister-in-law went back up to see if wee could get them in the car.  We only found the one wandering the road.  There was someone in a pickup trying to coax the little dog in his truck.  My Sister-in-law  tried and could not get close to him. Needless to say I did not sleep very much last night.  I packed up food and water and went to check this morning.  All three were still there.  Two were curled up at the very edge of the road.  The little one was down the lane a little ways.  Naturally it is the only one with a collar.  I get out and place the bowl of water down.  Then I open a can of chicken and set it down.  The one dog we tried to get last night came and ate.  The other fluffy one kept circling the car away from me.  I wanted the other two dogs to eat so I walked down the lane toward the littlest one and set the can down. I walked away and they started eating.  Then another lady showed up with food.  We talked and she had been able to get the one to eat out of her hand last night but could not get close enough to touch him. They are hanging out close to the road and near a railroad track  .I guess I will be doing a food and water run until Tuesday and pray nothing happens to them in the meantime.

I have posted a long one today.  Since I have been off of posting hopefully you won't mind.

Card class this week. Each card class we do one Christmas Card and one all purpose card. It is fun doing a Christmas card throughout the year. Maybe by Christmas season we will be less stressed and can enjoy.

Next week we will do two layouts. Still working on the titles.

April 19th and 20th is the Card Blitz. So make plans to join us on either day. If there is enough interest I could do the Blitz on Monday the 22nd.

Road Trip - March 22, 2013

Another day working at the shop.  Yep, got that second layout finished.  Yahoo!!!!  Now I can look forward to a weekend filled with paperwork.  Ugh!!!!  Road trips have changed since I was young.  No more fussing about who is touching who.  You know those old backseat complaints.  Now they have movies, headphones, I-phones, and I-pads.  Whatever happened to I spy or counting the bugs going by.  Oh well it makes the driver a little less stressed to have them so occupied.  On to the layout...

Stay warm and dry this weekend.
