Sunny Days

Summer fun has started. Our layout is all about sunny days and our outside activities. This is my great niece and a fishing trip she had with her grandparents.
I am not a fisherman. My Mom & Dad loved to fish and so do my brothers and sister. So hear is my brother sharing his love of the sport with is granddaughter. These are special times that fly by way too fast.

Have a great night and see you at the shop.
Congratulations to Sandie.  She is up to two miles on her walking.  I caught her on he second lap this morning.

Geneva and I were working on the back room all day yesterday.  So my layout for this week will be posted later today.  But the room is looking good.  I may even be able to use it with another days work.

What a wonderful weekend.  Sunday morning I go out to feed Pokey and laying up on his hay roll is a fox.  Seems we have a family living in the neighborhood. Frank spotted Mom and Dad with two cubs.

I walked the mall again this morning and passed Sandie coming in as I was leaving.  So I will change the walking time.  Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday we will start at 9:00 am.  Tuesday and Thursday because I have morning classes the time will still be at 8:00 am.  Hopefully this time change will help more of you to come out and walk.  I visited with a walker this morning and she said she had lost 35 lbs in 6 months just by walking.  She walks 5 days a week.

Holiday weekend coming up and we have a couple of all day crops Saturday and Monday.  Someone mentioned having a sleepover crop Saturday night. If interested let me know and I will do some planning.

Our big celebration is coming soon so make plans to be here at the shop on June 12th.  Let's get this party rolling.

Everybody ready for the weekend?????  We are feeling Summer early.  Where is all that cold weather we had earlier this year???

Tomorrow is Cricut Saturday.  Lots of fun and craziness.  You never know what these ladies are gonna do around here.

I have decided to change the way we do class makeups.  When you miss a class please plan to make it up either after the next weeks class or the first Saturday of the month from 10:00 until 11:00 am. This will help me keep the projects from getting stacked up in the back room.  It helps me organize my time during the day.  If you can imagine how my time management is out the window when I do several makeup classes a week at several different times.  I really do want you to enjoy doing the projects and be helpful to me

Thanks for being such great friends and customers.  I really do appreciate all you do for me.

This is an exploding box that Sandie Cuppett made for our anniversary celebration.  The friends of Ladybug are raffling this beautiful box.  The top is covered with leaves and flowers with a few polymer clay ladybugs.  This is a great keepsake for those favorite family photos.  Each square has it's own tag for you to journal. Stop by the shop for a closer view of Sandie's handywork.

Well we had 3 of us walking the mall this morning.  I'm sure the rain kept a few of you away. We will be back walking again in the morning.  Hope to see you there.  Remember it is at 8:00 am.  After walking I 'll rush right over to the shop for card class.

We are starting a Mall walk group.  On Monday May 17th at 8 a.m. come to the north entrance of the Lake City Mall.  I have been told that 4 loops is equal to a mile.  As we enter next to the armed forces we will go right towards Belks so if we have left already you can catch up.  Lets get going and have some fun getting healthy hearts.

There are some beautiful flowers blooming at Scrappy's.  I wonder what they are for?

Mom

Of course the layout this week is all about Mom. You will use a stencil to ink the leaves on the paper. The edges are also inked. The dragonflies have vellum leaves. This may take a little longer than usual so come to have fun doing something new.

Have you met 'The Ladybug.' Or are you a friend of The Ladybug. And what is going on June 12th? Lot's of excitement about this date.

We had a great day yesterday.  Jackie made Monteray Shrimp Salad.  WOW!  It had Spring greens, almonds, chow mien noodles, and boiled shrimp.  Topped off with poppy seed dressing. Then she had Chess cake for desert.  Glenda made oatmeal cookies with chocolate on the bottom.  Patty brought shrimp spread with an assortment of crackers.  I loved everything. Wednesday is a work day.  The third Wednesday of the month is the Scissor Sisters work day.You never know what this group will be working on.

Saturday is Cuttlebug Saturday.  Bring your bug and come play.  We cut and play from 10-4.

Do you know who is a friend of the Ladybug?  Ask around the shop and find out what it is all about.

See you later at the shop.

Had a great day with the ladies for National Scrapbook Day.  They really stayed busy working on their MOM word book.  There was lots of food.  Jackie came late because she was serving blueberry pancakes in Wellborn.  So of course she surprised us with some beautiful blueberry pancakes and sausage.  WOW!!!  Those pancakes were huge but oh so delicious.  Glenda made an outrageous Texas sheet cake. These ladies are so good.  I saved a special project for late in the day.  They decorated a glass egg with mica powders called Pure color.  It really was an experiment.  Their eggs were beautiful each one unique. I just love the way they are game for anything I throw at them. Preparing the table before we started  made them a little nervous.  You never know what might happen at the shop.

Monday is  discount day.  15% discount excluding any sale item on your total purchase.  And for those ladies who participated in National Scrapbook Day here at Scrappy's will receive an additional 5% off.

Have a great weekend.
