What a wonderful day of celebration. So much laughter and fun. Naturally, our last two classes were wild and woolly. Those ladies can really get me going sometime. Sometime ... most of the time. I never know what a simple little comment will lead into. We worked our way through both the card and layout( I will post both last weeks and this weeks layout later). There were so many ladybugs working their way across the scrapbook page and shining from our last card at the shop.
Then we jumped into all that food. Oh my goodness!!! It was all finger foods and oh so yummy. I hope to post some pictures of the groaning table. And that is what I did after nibbling all afternoon. But that did not stop me from enjoying more for dinner last night. I even shared a little bit with the little girl.
Those who were at the shop today know that I am having a Water Oak taken out of the backyard. You know I had to get Pokey in the next door neighbors pasture. You can imagine how interesting that was. Me dressed for the day with pink rubber clogs, pearls on my ears and around my neck, shaking the cup of feed, and coaxing Pokey to move my way. I finally put the small cup of feed in his feed bucket and shook it. That got his attention. He knows that sound. I hook the bucket to the fence post and proceeded to tie the rope around the opening. Well it wouldn't stop a stampede but it keeps him where he is away from the tree trimming. Before I fed him tonight I grabbed a storage tub and moved it to his area around the feed bucket. Our hose is not that long so I made four or five trips to fill it with water. Naturally, that darn horse kept standing at the feed bucket as if to say 'Forget the water I'm ready for that sweet feed'.
Here I have hired a tree trimmer to cut this tree out after spotting some huge dead limbs. Now this tree must be about 6 feet in diameter at the base. It has to be old, old, old. I get home knowing he still has to finish up tomorrow. There are so many limbs down you can't see the pasture where Pokey is. Not only that, but we must have had some weather here today because a tree uprooted in the front yard. Good Grief!!! There were more limbs around the yard today than when the storm came through the other day and they weren't from the tree trimming. Thank goodness I moved the truck. So, instead of working on the rest of those thorny Azaleas I'll be gathering tree limbs.
Smiles 'till I see you!
